THe Importance of Empowerment

Low self-esteem is defined as a thinking disorder in which an individual views him/herself as inadequate, unlovable, and incompetent. Although this is bad, having too high of self esteem can also be bad- leading to selfishness.

 

Low self-esteem can lead to bad experiences in life. It something that everyone will experience in their life at some point. It can cause you to feel powerless and see the world as a bad place. That’s not something that anyone should experience, so I decided to research self-esteem.

 

Feeling like this results from events like losing your job, feeling like you’re losing control, and all forms of abuse. Low-self esteem also has links with mental disorders.

People with low self-esteem think lowly of themselves, so they tend to not believe compliments and it can make them feel worse. They will reject the idea because they don't think that's who they are or who they can be.

Self-esteem isn't really related to how you look, it's just how you feel about yourself and how you dress. Doing things that make you happy and changing things you have control over are big boosters of self-esteem.

It's important now that people realize this is a problem. So many people- especially women- are feeling powerless due to mental health issues or being told they are inferior. Once again, no one should have to feel like this forever so here are some ways to boost your self-esteem.
